NG911 Institute Announces 17th Annual 911 Honor Award Winners; NG911 Technology Showcase Agenda

The event will feature speeches and appearances by multiple Caucus Members, public safety leaders, and industry professionals.


Washington, DC - The Next Generation 911 Institute (NG911 Institute) is pleased to announce the winners of the 17th Annual 911 Honor Awards:


Industry Professional:  Tracy Eldridge, RapidSOS

About the 911 Honor Awards Reception The 911 Honor Awards reception is an annual event to honor 911 heroes and leaders.  The Co-Chairs of the Congressional Next Gen 911 Caucus (Reps. Shimkus and Eshoo and Senators Burr and Klobuchar) and other Members of Congress and federal government officials will join 911 leaders from across the country. The awards reception will be held on Wednesday, February 12, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building – presentation of awards to begin at 6:00pm.  For more information and to register, visit https://www.ng911institute.org/17annual.


About the NG911 Technology Showcase The following day, Thursday, February 13, from 11:45am to 4:00pm in Rooms 2043-2045 of the Rayburn House Office Building, the Institute is hosting the NG911 Technology Showcase. Leading technologists and government leaders will discuss developments in technology and NG911 systems that promise to fundamentally transform emergency response in America.   Technology presentations will be made by AT&T, RapidSOS, RapidDeploy, NGA911, Hexagon, Mission Critical Partners and Zetron. About the NG911 Institute The NG911 Institute (www.ng911institute.org) is a not-for-profit organization, which supports the efforts of the Congressional NextGen 911 Caucus.  The mission of the NG911 Institute is to assist the Congressional NextGen 911 Caucus by serving as a broad educational resource on issues important to the effective operation and advancement of NG911 services and systems.  The overarching objective of the Institute is to advance the rapid implementation of NG911 in order to promote more effective emergency response, improve public safety, and advance national security interests.  To this end, the Institute seeks to educate Congressional Members and staff on issues that may impact timely and effective NG911 implementation.
