  • iCERT Board Approves 2025 Policy Platform

    iCERT’s Board of Directors recently approved the 2025 Policy Platform, renewing the association’s commitment to supporting State and Federal policies that promote the development and widespread adoption of advanced emergency response technologies, works with other associations to deliver on stakeholder requirements, and will seek to advance policies that achieve the objectives listed.

  • Successful 2024 Fall Member Meeting

    We are thrilled to share that our recent Fall Member Meeting was a remarkable success! We had an incredible turnout, and we thank everyone who attended and engaged in thoughtful discussions. It was an excellent opportunity to connect, share insights, and strategize for the upcoming year.   A special thanks to our guest speakers, who shared their valuable expertise and presentations, and to our host, L3Harris, and event sponsors, who helped make this event possible.   During the meeting, we highlighted key updates on our strategic goals, new initiatives, advocacy communications, and collaborations aimed at strengthening public safety. We were also pleased to have two members of Congress, federal agency partners, and industry colleagues and associates from the US as well as Europe to provide timely and topical information. Your engagement and insights are vital as we work together to build a safer and more connected community. Here’s to continuing our important work together!

  • iCERT has Elected its 2025 Board Officers to Serve Two-Year, Staggered Terms

    The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies, Inc. (iCERT) has elected its 2025 Board Officers, which comprise its Executive Committee. iCERT Board of Directors Officer terms are two-year, staggered terms. This year’s elections were for two-year terms for the positions of Board Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Moderator/ Past Chair. These positions constitute three of the six officers who make up iCERT’s Executive Committee, and those elected will serve for the 2025 and 2026 calendar years.

  • iCERT Urges Presidential Campaigns to Make Next Generation 911 a National Priority

    iCERT, in two identical letters, has urged the Democratic and Republican candidates to provide 'critical' federal funding for next-generation 911, a digital platform for emergency communications that states and localities are currently pursuing without the aid of federal funding.   In the letters addressed to Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz, and Former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance, iCERT noted most areas of our nation continue to rely on outdated technologies that are unreliable, vulnerable to cyber-based attacks, and unable to support the multimedia capabilities that are critically needed to support effective emergency response.   Read the full letters below.

    iCERT commends the Federal Communications Commission for taking action that will advance the implementation of Next Generation 911 (NG911) services nationwide.

  • Michael Baker International Acquires Digital Data Technologies, Launches DATAMARK Technologies

    With this acquisition, DATAMARK, Michael Baker’s public safety division, known for best-in-class geographic information systems (GIS) data management and software solutions, will partner with DDTI under the brand DATAMARK Technologies  to provide a fully integrated solution to clients in the rapidly growing Government Technology (GovTech) and public safety sectors. DATAMARK Technologies heralds a new era of 9-1-1 and redefines geospatial data management for the public safety industry.

  • iCERT Executive Director and Members Appointed to CSRIC IX

    FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel appoints iCERT Executive Director George Kelemen and representatives from Members, Verizon, T-Mobile, Nokia, and Exacom/SecuLore to the re-established Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC). CSRIC IX will focus on enhancing the security, reliability, and integrity of communications networks using AI and machine learning. The council will also address emerging 6G network risks and ensure consumer access to 911 as technology evolves.

  • Resilient Strategies LLC Joins iCERT

    Please welcome Ken Van Sparrentak and Resilient Strategies LLC as they join the iCERT community. Van Sparrentak, a retired fire chief with extensive experience in homeland security and fire technology, and Resilient Strategies LLC, a Michigan-based consultancy, are poised to enhance our community's knowledge of communications and technologies for public safety agencies. Their collaboration with iCERT holds great promise as we work together to drive innovation in the emergency response sector and promote industry growth.

  • Congratulations to New iCERT Secretary Al Brisard

    Last week, the iCERT Board conducted a special election to fill a vacancy on the iCERT Executive Committee for the role of Secretary. The iCERT Board has elected Al Brisard from Exacom to fill the remainder of the term for the calendar year 2024. Please join us in congratulating Al. With his term beginning immediately, We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we work together with Al and iCERT’s Executive Committee this year. Our collective efforts will continue to grow iCERT and increase its relevance and impact in support of public safety.

    For the first time, attendees at IWCE24 experienced the transformative potential of the PSAP of the Future. The feedback we received was incredibly positive regarding both the exhibit set-up and, just as important, the content. This could not have happened without the ten iCERT member companies listed below who saw the vision, believed in the concept, and provided the needed financial backing and technical content to make the PSAP of the Future a reality.
